BALAI MELAYU MUSEUM HOTEL

Balai Melayu Museum Hotel (BMMH)  is a very cultural hotel in  Indonesia. For me BMMH is not only giving me a splendid accommodation but also giving me priceless  knowledge on multicultural Malay through the existing mini museum in this hotel.  This hotel give me the experience of Malay culture in the heart of Javanese culture.

I can feel the touch of Malay traditional mix with modern facilities from the architectural design of 'balai' which means house. This experience is just like a de ja vue in seeing real Malay world, not only from the design but also from all of the existing facilities.  10 rooms’ of marvelous Malay bedrooms are set in traditional Malay house with private balcony surrounded by tropical gardens.

The distance of this hotel to Malioboro street, Sultan Palace, Kota Gede ( silver), Kasongan Village, Prambanan Temple and Adi Sucipto International Airport is only within 15 minutes, so it is very convenient to look around Yogyakarta.

What I love so much about this hotel is the interior of each rooms is very stuning by exposing Songket from Minangkabau, Palembang, Riau, Kalimantan and Malaysia. It show the Malay culture in Javanese ambience. So do come and visit BMMH!
